... A collection of four science fiction novelettes, all with a slight (or not so slight) comedic touch.

"The Rejection Letter That Destroyed the World" is the story of a man who is rejected by everyone from his own parents to God Himself.

"Ubiquitous Marilyn" is a story written about You (in Second Person). In the far-flung future, there are only eight countries left in the world and they still can't get along. But don't worry. You won't have to pay much attention to 'current' events because you can tune in to the most popular hologig of all time!

"Paarma's Pernicious Pet" asks a simple question: what happens when an old-fashioned grandmother has to deal with her granddaughter adopting an extraterrestrial as a pet?

And in "
The Green Fate of Wilbur Brown," you'll meet a man who hates doing yard work so passionately...  well, you just have to see it to believe what he does to get out of mowing his lawn.

NO BLOOD! NO GORE! AND NO ACTUAL ALIENS WERE HURT IN THE MAKING OF THIS E-NOVEL.

The Extraterrestrials Are Coming...

... and some of them are ticking like time bombs!

FISHING in  BRAINS

for an  EYE

        with TEETH

'FISHING in BRAINS for an EYE with TEETH' is a collection of thirteen tales of terror: four pieces of flash fiction, four novelettes, and five short stories.

Featured are two previously published stories: 'Bob Bodey’s Body Parts', which originally appeared in Weird Tales magazine, Issue #346; and 'Sensory Desolation', which was first published in Cover of Darkness, (from Sam’s Dot Publishing) in May of 2011.

In Bob Bodey's Body Parts, a man finds he can purchase Real functioning Body Parts from a vending machine. WARNING: Real means Real!

In Sensory Decimation, the Sheriff of a rural Indiana County gets some help tracking down a serial killer. His benefactors are five mysterious psychics... who don't tell the Sheriff the terrible price he'll pay for their assistance.

Other stories in this collection include... www.$ellYerSoul2Satan.hel, the tale of a man who gets the girl the old fashioned way: by selling his soul to the Devil; The Legend of Bullet Lake, a ghost story that turns deadly for five young men on a hunting trip; Crimson House, answering the timeless question, "What happens to successful serial killers when they get old?”; The Night Lightning Strikes Paintersville, a place where madness manifests itself in art; Edgar Alan Poem Meets Elizabeth Barrett Brownie, where a monster stalks a single mom using the Internet; She Dreams of Murder, the story of a man who hears his sleeping wife talk about killing him; and I Was a Teenage Beehive, a tragic tale that just might give you a buzz.

There are also four pieces of flash fiction. Even the worst monsters have 'Embarrassing Secrets'. Even perfect machines experience 'System Failure'. Truth or Dare makes for fun 'Graveside Games'. And when the Emergency Broadcast System declares, “THIS IS NOT A TEST!” shouldn’t we listen?

WARNING!  These horror stories contain profanity, gore, graphic violence, and some sexual situations.

The District of Wonders is an excellent online site that broadcasts weekly podcasts of various speculative stories.  One of the horror stories included in my collection-- FISHING in BRAINS for an EYE with TEETH-- was featured in the District at Tales to Terrify.  It was a part of Episode #56.

Here's a link to the District ===>   districtofwonders.com

.

All the Districts of Wonder are great but I particularly love Tales to Terrify.  These podcasts are available for download on iTunes.

Edited by David M. Fitzpatrick, Salacious Tales is a collection of twenty-two tales from an international group of authors.

Some of these stories are horror stories; some are science fiction; and some are fantasy.   All have erotic themes.  Sex isn't the whole story, but it's always integral to the story.

FANTASY-- An undead woman hopes to be chosen by the Zombie King.  A captured werewolf makes a bizarre deal.  A frustrated woman finds a paranormal cure for her woes.  A princess captured by a dragon is desperate for rescue by her one true love.

HORROR-- A voyeur sees more than he expects.  An Ancient Demigod demands human sacrifices from a sadistic minion.  A couple recieves nightly visits from demons.  Strange auras compel a man to strangle a woman he's never met.

SCIENCE FICTION-- The Church exiles deviants off-planet.  A time machine changes a couple's marriage.  Humans sail the seas in living ships.  A woman willingly becomes victim to tribal aliens.  The Soviets race to beat the Americans to the moon... and beyond.

I personally have two stories included in this anthology.  In my tale, Blood of Bacchus, the God Dionysus is reborn in modern-day California into the bosom of his devoted Maenads.

And in my horror story entitled Flattery Will Get You Nowhere, a serial killer with a paranormal gift is spooked by a dog who starts bringing him the body parts of a previous victim.

BLACK and BLUE and BLOOD

'BLACK and BLUE and BLOOD' is William Markly O'Neal's second collection of horror stories available at Amazon.com.

'The Black and Blue Wasteland' was originally published in 'Cover of Darkness' from Sam's Dot Publishing.  A young man discovers much to his surprise that he has the power to banish his enemies off the face of the Earth.

'The Last Laugh' is a confession of murder that proves any medicine taken to excess becomes poison.

In 'Bloodbath', a Vietnam veteran is effected forty years later by a bloody curse.

'Zombie Hounds from Hell' offers just a glimpse of a barking Apocalypse.

In 'Blood Money', a pizza delivery guy meets an odd, wealthy stranger... who steals from him, provoking a desire for revenge.

'The Ten Plagues of E. Jipson' is about Ezekiel Jipson, a college student who is cursed with terrible acne... that comes alive and demands its freedom.

Also included in this collection is a poem called "Scream Day."

And in a addition to the straight horror stories, a bonus novelette is included entitled 'Steel Prophets of Doom.'  It is an alternate history of the United States from 1936-2007... in a world where people can consult crystalline oracles to find out exactly how they will die.

These stories include adult language, explicit violence, and a lot of blood.

"This collection is a cornucopia of horror, dark comedy, and drama. From vampire-like creatures who feed on the senses, to senile robots, to a fat slob brought down by an otherworldly gumball machine, the author paints vivid pictures of horror, both the supernatural kind and that which hides behind the kindly eyes of the guy next door, with an unparalleled imagination."

"Mr. O'Neal does an amazing job of pulling you in to the story and not letting go until the very last page. And many of the stories will stick with you long after you finish reading..."

"A collection you must surely visit if the horror genre is your thing. Bold, original writing full of new (and somewhat disturbing) ideas that will shake up your anthology malaise if you've come down with it.... you won't find a "same old same old" tale in the mix..."

"An amazing collection of horrific tales of madness, mayhem, and murder. These tales were a joy to read, and many of the stories will stick with me for quite sometime."

"....refreshingly twisted."

"Disgusting, funny, smart, enthralling-- this collection of stories is worth your time. I loved these hauntingly unique tales. Buy it!"

"O'Neal's overactive imagination powers all of these entertaining tales; his enthusiasm for writing and his love of the horror genre are evident on each page. His book is definitely a steal..."

"Read this book.  It will freak you out."

"The author may need to seek professional help."
